You know the grammar and vocabulary – but conversation still feels hesitant? That is exactly where our German conversation course comes in. In a relaxed setting, you practise speaking freely, discuss current topics and get to know other German learners at the same time. No exam pressure, no strict curriculum – just German communication, precisely at your level.
German conversation course – practice speaking at A2 and B1
The German conversation course at NSH language school focuses on oral language competence. You train spontaneous speaking, expand your active vocabulary and consolidate your pronunciation – all through exchange with other participants at a similar language level.
The focus is on current, everyday topics that create genuine opportunities for conversation. This way you learn not only the language itself, but also how to express yourself confidently and fluently in real situations.
Who Is the German Conversation Course For?
The German conversation course is aimed at people who have already completed the A1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and want to specifically improve their oral skills at A2 or B1 level. It is ideal for anyone who wants to communicate more confidently in German in everyday life, at work or in social settings.
The course is particularly recommended as a complement to an ongoing German course at NSH – because anyone attending an A2 or B1 course with us at the same time takes part in the conversation course free of charge.

How does the German conversation course work?
Course duration and lessons
The German conversation course runs for 10 weeks and comprises a total of 10 lessons – one lesson per week of 45 minutes each. The next course start is 11 August 2026.
Lesson times
You choose whichever of the following times fits best into your weekly schedule:
Tuesday: 17.00 – 17.45
Wednesday: 17.00 – 17.45
Friday: 11.45 – 12.30
Conversation sessions take place once a week. If you are attending an evening or afternoon German course with us at the same time, the times can be combined perfectly.
The course does not take place during school holidays.
How much does the German conversation course cost?
Total costs 10 weeks: CHF 239.00
One-time enrolment fee: CHF 40.00
Free for NSH course students: Anyone attending a German course at NSH language school at the same time takes part in the conversation course at no additional cost. The conversation sessions are already included in these courses.
